Innovative Teaching Training: Overcoming Barriers in E-Learning
As part of the kick-off meeting for GINA project, a specialized training session on innovative teaching methodologies was led by Alina Guzik, a Senior Product Manager with extensive experience in designing digital education products. AG, who has worked for years in the field of digital education, focused on the emotional aspects of e-learning and the barriers students often encounter in online courses.
During the session, Alina Guzik , Gdańsk University of Technology, addressed key topics such as course naming conventions, the challenges faced by students in e-learning environments (such as loneliness and isolation ), and how these barriers can be mitigated. AG emphasized that the success of e-courses often depends on the emotional engagement of students, explaining that e-learning must tap into emotions to create an effective and memorable learning experience.
She also discussed how memory retention works, highlighting techniques for designing e-courses that ensure better knowledge retention. AG shared insights into how emotions play a crucial role in learning processes and how well-designed digital courses can enhance students' ability to remember and apply the material.
This training session provided valuable strategies for teachers to create more engaging and effective online learning experiences, ensuring that the e-learning courses developed for the NBS project will be both innovative and impactful.
