There’s a new planning tool using VR? Thanks to it, cities that introduce adaptive and participatory planning for their green infrastructure and improve both urban resilience and citizens’ wellbeing. According to Mahajan from ETH Zürich, moving from rigid, one-off projects to dynamic, multi-future Nature-Based Solutions helps cities better handle climate uncertainty and social inequality. He stands for immersive visualization as one of four steps in better urban planning. By linking small elements like green roofs to broader ecological networks and involving citizens in every design stage, cities can grow not just greener—but smarter, fairer, and more resilient for generations to come.
